In most cases, were the debt solution has been accepted by your lenders, they will stop contacting you. However, nobody can guarantee that they will stop contacting you completely. Some debt solutions do obligate your lenders to stop contacting, as with an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA), Protected Trust Deed (PTD) and Debt Relief Order (DRO). However, if you stop fail the plan then your lenders are legally permitted to begin contacting you again.

How will it affect my credit rating?2019-04-04T20:50:42+00:00

All debt relief options will affect your credit rating, to what measure and for how long will depend on the option. Typically, your credit rating may be affected for up to 6 years. Depending on the option you decide on you may have difficulty obtaining credit in the future. In most cases where you are having financial problems it is very likely that your credit rating has already been negatively affected, particularly if you have missed payments. The very good news is that no matter what your credit rating is, you can always rebuild it over time and this process can begin as soon as your debt relief plan ends.

Why would my lenders write off my debt?2019-04-04T20:47:49+00:00
